Most of the casting calls that I'm going to are found on back stage, and sometimes throw craigslist, under the category " films and t.v".
Be careful, try to find out as much information as you can regarding the casting call, place time, who is the casting director, and what they're looking for. Otherwise
there is no use of going to this audition.
If it's only sending your headshot and resume I would send it to any casting director even if I'm not the type of cast that they are looking for.
And what do I mean by that?
A few weeks ago there was an ad on backstage asking only males to send pics and cv, for the fun of it I sent mine and the casting director asked me to come and wrote me an email saying that he may write a part for me,,,so you never know.
Also be careful , one day I sent my info to a casting director and he asked me to come to an audition .
If I wouldn't have asked him specifically what was exactly the production about, I would have wasted my time and I would have been gotten into a " dirty" place which I didn't think of, you can probably guess it was porn.
So watch out not to get on the wrong train.
I'm sure that there are other places to get casting calls , and I'm not aware of,
I'll let you know if I have more information.
Take care and watch out.
