How to become an actor in Broadway

To become an actor on Broadway requires you to have a good agent and great talent. I have never done Broadway (I've auditioned for a Broadway part in the past) however I have friends who are actors on Broadway. One of my good friends informed me that it is good to take up acting classes whether it is for Broadway or for regular actors seeking that principal role in television and film. Not only does it look good on your resume to take up acting classes but your acting coach will make sure that they will also give you the right exposure. You will also get exposure to other casting agencies and to producers by taking up acting classes.

There is also a free website which is ActorsFirstNY@yahoogroups.com. Once you sign up with them they will submit emails for a lot of theatre, movie, television work and acting classes. If you have talent submit for these acting jobs because they pay very well. There is no fee to sign up with them but as you know if you want to take up acting classes they will charge you a fee. Also the Ross Report and Backstage have auditions for Broadway as well.
